Optimal Decision Feedback Equalizer Design for Single Carrier Transmission Systems
Single Carrier Transmission (SCT) is a competing technique for Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) in Broadband Wireless Systems (BWS). Recent developments in Frequency Domain Equalization (FDE) using Decision Feedback Equalization (DFE) have greatly improved the system based on the SCT technique. SCT-DFE doesn t have high Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) problem, which is one of the major problems in OFDM systems.
The following are the major aspects for SCT-DFE in this research work
Low cost DFE and transceiver design,
Interference removal scheme in highly faded multipath channels,
Channel shortening equalizer design,
Implementation of optimized equalization techniques to improve the performance,
Effects of different coding techniques to achieve better system performance and
Implementation of channel estimation techniques and low complexity solution design.
