Biofeedback-based AR system for Medical Balance Training

The therapy of impaired balance is usually done with medication in combination with physiotherapeutic training. The MediBalance Pro medical device from MediTECH Electronic GmbH has successfully established itself on the market. However, it is currently only used in specialized therapy centers for dizziness treatment and is limited there only to a training of the control of the equilibrium focus. In this international ZIM project, the existing hardware is to be equipped with an advanced AR-based operating and game interface. ln addition, the system is to be expanded with a multiphysiological sensor system. Within the scope of the project, a prototype for a new medical device will be developed.
