The aim of the project is the integration of design, calculation, and evolutionary algorithms for the optimisation of parametric models. The developed program is a modular structured tool for the designer. It can be applied for the optimisation of products by use of evaluation and simulation programs. The actual optimisation system, which has been developed and ex-tended at the Chair for Information Technologies in Mechanical Engineering, consists of· a parametric CAD system,· a control module for the optimisation by genetic operators based on Evolutionary Algo-rithms, and· an evaluation module (e. g. calculation system, CAD-, FEA-, or CFD system, etc.).Another target of the project is the realisation optimisation algorithm in the industry. Exam-ples for the success of the program are a inlet port and exhaust system of a passenger car. |
